The recent AccelerateHER + Techscaler Hackathon for Female and Non-Binary Founders in Inverness was abuzz with four founders supported by over a dozen tech coaches and facilitators to explore their startup ideas.
The founders were supported on their journey through the day by facilitators and tech coaches - many of whom were local to the area, but some of whom had travelled from as far afield as Edinburgh, Milnathort and Shetland to provide support.
The experts shared their knowledge and experience, helping founders to explore their ideas, answer questions and give ideas and insight.
Elizabeth Pirrie, CEO of AccelerateHER, said: “We had an amazing day at the recent hackathon in Inverness, with great energy and enthusiasm in the room. Thanks to the facilitators and tech coaches for giving their time to work with the brilliant four founders throughout the day on their startup ideas and businesses.”
Norette Ferns, Highlands & Islands Community Manager for CodeBase, said: “Our team were so excited to be working on this event with our friends at AccelerateHER. Huge thanks to all the tech coaches and facilitators who volunteered their time. When we asked for their help they showed not only willingness but real enthusiasm to be part of the day. Massive thanks also go to our wonderful four founders who brought so much passion and enthusiasm on the day. We left feeling really inspired and look forward to following the founders’ journeys and continuing to support them as they work on their startups.”
Lauren Grant, hackathon participant and founder of A’an said: “A very sincere thank you to AccelerateHER and Techscaler for organising a superb day. The Hackathon was packed to the brim with inspirational and knowledgeable tech leaders and their expertise.
